IFPHK Artificial Intelligence and FinTech Statement

Our AI & FinTech policy is anchored in the responsible and ethical application of technology. In alignment with strategic directions of the Financial Planning Standards Board’s (FPSB), we are dedicated to fostering a culture where innovation is balanced with professional accountability, transparency, and fiduciary duty. We believe that technology should augment, not replace, the human judgment and personalized care that are the hallmarks of professional financial planning. IFPHK will lead the profession through the following missions:

Integrating AI into professional practice and developing frameworks and resources to seamlessly and responsibly embed AI and FinTech applications throughout the six elements of financial planning process, enhancing efficiency, analytical depth, and the overall client experience.
Championing transparency and ethics and advocating for clear ethical AI usage declarations among financial planners, promoting openness about the role of technology in their advice to strengthen client trust and uphold professional integrity.
Accelerating professional competency through continuous learning programs including seminars, conferences, specialized training, and award recognition.
Leading public discourse and building trust and acting as a definitive thought leader and spokesperson on AI & FinTech adoption. We will engage with the public, regulators, and industry to demystify technology, advocate for sensible standards, and reinforce confidence in the financial planning profession.

IFPHK ESG Statement

Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy is anchored in ESG promotion to our stakeholders. We are dedicated to advocate ESG education, deliver its benefits to, and raise awareness among our members and relevant professionals in the business community.

Based on the latest trend of ESG knowledge and development, we aim to leverage academic research and industry expertise to advance our ESG practices to raise professional standards of financial planners in Hong Kong and Asia. IFPHK will implement our ESG policy through:

Integrating ESG concepts into the six-step financial planning process
Disseminating our latest ESG integration in financial planning to stakeholders and the community through our regular and designated channels such as seminars, conferences and award recognition
